Medical AssistantJoin our Outpatient Behavioral Health team as a Medical Assistant supporting children and families receiving mental health and psychiatric care. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities and works closely with providers and other members of our multidisciplinary team.What You'll DoPrepare patients for visits, including obtaining vital signs and reviewing medications and patient historyCommunicate with patients and families by phone and through EpicSupport medication refills, reconciliation, pharmacy communication, and prior authorizationsAssist providers during psychiatric or therapeutic evaluations as neededSupport appointment scheduling, patient outreach, and provider schedule coordinationCoordinate referrals and maintain accurate medical recordsHelp maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming patient care environmentWhat You'll BringHigh school diploma or GED requiredCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferredCMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferredBLS certification within 30 days of hireStrong communication, organization, and interpersonal skillsBehavioral health or psychiatry experience is a plusExperience with Epic or another electronic health record system preferred
