Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health assessments through comprehensive interviews, documenting client's mental, emotional, and behavioral health journey from intake through discharge.

• Develop tailored treatment and recovery plans for diverse client groups—individuals, couples, families, and groups—ensuring each plan aligns with evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate dynamic therapeutic interventions in both individual and group settings, employing techniques and methodologies grounded in current psychological research.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed and providing continuous feedback during therapy sessions.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to ensure holistic treatment approaches for clients.

• Initiate referrals to appropriate specialists while maintaining case management protocols, ensuring seamless transitions for clients requiring additional support.

• Engage with family members and caregivers to equip them with strategies for managing mental health challenges within the home.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as either an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.

• Successful completion of the National Counseling Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar software to ensure accurate documentation and client tracking.

• Solid understanding of the impact of physical health conditions on mental well-being and experience with dual diagnosis treatment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities that facilitate meaningful client engagement.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health counseling in an outpatient setting, with a clear history of client success and positive outcomes.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and the ethical standards for mental health professionals.

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their potential effects, providing insight during client evaluations and treatment planning.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
