About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic and operational leadership across its post-acute care services, including home care, hospice, and facility-based long-term care. The COO will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, driving operational excellence, and maintaining regulatory compliance. This role involves leading and collaborating with service area heads, overseeing resource allocation, and directing the achievement of organizational goals. The successful candidate will also be tasked with strategic planning for service expansion, identifying opportunities for optimization, and leading initiatives to enhance the patient experience and reduce readmissions. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of senior leadership experience in post-acute care. A strong background in quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and a deep understanding of regulatory and reimbursement structures in post-acute settings are essential. The role requires a proven ability to lead multi-site operations, strong communication skills, and the capacity to inspire a culture of compassion and continuous improvement. Experience with Medicare/NY Medicaid reimbursement and value-based payment models, as well as familiarity with EMR systems, is also necessary. The COO will be expected to work closely with the executive team, including the CEO, and to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and staff development.
