Senior Manager, Research Intelligence Engineer

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Senior Manager to advance research intelligence and data capabilities within R&D. The role combines domain analysis, data engineering, and applied AI to design scalable solutions that improve discovery, portfolio management, and scientific decision-making across the research organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with research scientists and leaders to translate complex domain questions into actionable intelligence opportunities and use cases
- Design, prototype, and productionize agentic and generative AI capabilities for portfolio management and scientific decision support
- Engineer data services, APIs, and integrations required for research intelligence solutions using Databricks
- Lead technical delivery of reusable research intelligence capabilities, from discovery through adoption and operational support
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and analysts while championing responsible AI standards
Requirements
- Hands-on technical expertise in data engineering and AI/agentic systems design
- Demonstrated experience with domain analysis, business process mapping, and requirements translation
- Strong proficiency with Databricks or equivalent data intelligence platforms
- Track record leading technical delivery of enterprise data and analytics solutions
- Experience designing, implementing, and operationalizing AI-enabled workflows
- Ability to communicate complex technical and scientific concepts across diverse audiences
