Location: Central Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-week assignment. Every other weekend and every other holiday required. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.

Highlights:

• Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Medical-Surgical, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Regional transfer center utilizing cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practice
• Patient ratios vary by unit: PICU 1:2, NICU 1:2-1:3, Acute Pediatrics 1:4-1:5
• Epic EMR system required
• Up to 40 hours of time off approved (not available first 2 weeks of assignment)
• 60 hours of comprehensive orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Virginia RN license (pending accepted, must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience required
• Previous NICU and PACU experience required; Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS required
• Dr. Browns Infant-Driven Feeding Certification required (may submit with pending; $185 cost)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must be comfortable caring for neonates through adolescents across multiple pediatric specialties
• BSN preferred
