Associate Director, Health Technology Consulting, Revenue Cycle Technology

Guidehouse’s Health Technology Consulting (HTC) practice is looking for an Associate Director to lead revenue cycle technology engagements across our Commercial Health client portfolio. This person will serve as a senior advisor to health system executives, guiding clients through the full lifecycle of revenue cycle technology work: strategy, platform assessment, implementation oversight, and post-live optimization. Responsibilities Lead Client Engagements : Own the senior Guidehouse presence on revenue cycle technology accounts, managing relationships with C‑suite executives and overseeing workstreams across engagement teams. Deliver a range of engagements from platform configuration assessments to post‑live stabilization and full optimization programs. Deliver on Revenue Cycle Technology Depth : Bring deep Epic revenue cycle expertise—resolving modules such as Resolute HB, PB, Grand Central, Prelude, Charge Router, Claim Edit, denial workqueue design—and translate configuration decisions into actionable recommendations across the revenue cycle continuum (patient access through billing and collections). Grow the Practice : Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts, support proposal development, represent Guidehouse at industry events (e.g., HFMA, ViVE), and contribute to the firm’s external point of view on revenue cycle technology. Develop the Team : Lead engagement teams from Analyst through Senior Consultant, providing coaching, feedback, and cultivating the revenue cycle technology expertise of staff. Qualifications Eight to twelve years of combined experience in health IT consulting, EHR implementation, or revenue cycle operations, with prior consulting firm experience strongly preferred. Deep Epic revenue cycle expertise, including certification in modules such as Resolute HB, PB, Charge Router, Grand Central, or Prelude, and a minimum of three years working in Epic revenue cycle environments. Meaningful experience with at least one of Oracle Health, Meditech Expanse, or athenahealth in a revenue cycle context. Track record of managing complex engagements with C‑suite client exposure. Experience leading and developing consulting staff across multi‑workstream engagements. Fluency in revenue cycle performance metrics (DNFB, DCFB, A/R days, first‑pass rate, denial rate, clean claim rate, net collection rate). Understanding of how payer and regulatory requirements intersect with EHR configuration, including CMS billing rules, prior authorization workflows, and value‑based contracting structures. Bachelor’s degree minimum; graduate degree in health informatics, business administration, or related field is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Graduate degree in health informatics, business administration, public health, or related field. Experience across payer and provider client environments. Familiarity with healthcare IT standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance considerations relevant to EHR implementation and optimization. Experience supporting or contributing to digital transformation, AI integration, or analytics strategy within health system engagements. Compensation Salary range: $135,000.00 – $225,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, training, security clearances, licensure, and certifications.
