JOB DESCRIPTION

The Personal Care Attendant is reliable and confident in taking full personal care of client in a facility or their own residence. Duties may include mobility support, assisting with maintaining personal hygiene by bathing, brushing their hair and teeth, or applying skincare. He/she is a vital piece of great in‑home care and serves a double duty as emotional and physical support for both clients and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be qualified in one of the following programs: Certified Nurse’s Aide Program or Home Health Aide Program or must have completed a 54‑hour training program as a PCA provider Completion of the facility’s Alzheimer Training Course HS diploma or equivalent Ability to work for extended period while standing and being involved in physical activity Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly Ability to carry out directions, read and write Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job #J-18808-Ljbffr AdviniaCare
