This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, quality systems, inspections, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Job Summary
- Support the facility's quality management system and customer quality requirements
- Perform inspections, testing, and containment activities to ensure product quality
- Manage and maintain calibration systems for inspection and measurement equipment
- Conduct shipping audits to verify packaging, labeling, traceability, and documentation
- Oversee non-conforming material processes and defect containment activities
- Perform incoming inspections of raw materials and components
- Support root cause investigations using tools such as 5 Whys and 8D
- Assist with internal audits, process audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain quality records and documentation
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns
- Support new product launches and sample part builds

Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent quality/manufacturing experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality role preferred
- Experience with quality systems and automotive manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans preferred
- Experience with calibration systems and measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Familiarity with SPC and basic data analysis
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and quality management software
