Biologist for AI Model Training

Role Overview

Apply advanced biology expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through accurate, rigorous scientific input. You will evaluate biological content, strengthen training materials, and help improve how AI models reason about real-world biology. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate biology-related data, prompts, and content used in AI development, providing detailed feedback.
• Create, review, and refine scientific scenarios, questions, and explanations based on real-world biological problems.
• Provide expert insight to ensure AI training datasets and outputs are accurate, relevant, and appropriately detailed.
• Work with project teams to clarify ambiguous questions and improve biological data quality and coverage.
• Document findings, methods, and scientific rationale to support transparent, reproducible deliverables.
• Participate in iterative review cycles that improve AI capabilities in biology.
• Share knowledge with other subject-matter experts to strengthen project outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD in biology or a closely related life science discipline.
• Strong command of core biological concepts and the ability to explain complex topics to varied audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal scientific communication skills.
• Experience with scientific data analysis, critical evaluation, and synthesis of complex information.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables within defined project frameworks.
• Experience contributing to interdisciplinary projects or scientific collaborations is preferred.
• Exposure to AI or technology is helpful but not required.
• Consistent attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor role.

Compensation

• $80 to $90 per hour.
