About the Position

We are seeking an Infectious Disease Physician Assistant for a 365-day assignment in North Carolina. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday with 8-hour shifts, plus a half-day on Friday, involving responsibilities such as conducting physical assessments, reviewing medical histories, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing effective treatment, with a specific focus on patients with HIV.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Must have recent experience with and be comfortable with HIV patients. Performs in-office physical assessments of the patient, reviews their medical history, and interprets diagnostic tests/results in order to provide effective treatment for the patient.
• Conducts preventive health screenings based on the patient's age, history, and unique needs to provide proactive health care.
• Educates patients and their family about specialty care medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Maintains record of all patient care in order to ensure accurate patient history is recorded across offices.
• Performs office-based specialty care medical procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines and clinical roles.
• Identifies ways to improve outpatient specialty care by assessing, problem-solving, and evaluating clinical and system issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
