About the Position

• Prepares and assists during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional procedures.
• Prepares patients for procedures, including positioning, sterile draping, and connecting monitoring devices.
• Operates and troubleshoots complex imaging systems and monitors during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains strict sterile field standards and ensures compliance with infection prevention protocols.
• Ensures proper use of radiation protection measures for patients and staff.
• Accurately records procedural data, hemodynamic measurements, and patient information in electronic medical systems.
• Assists in managing cardiac emergencies and performs CPR or other life-saving interventions as necessary.
• Works closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Maintains cath lab supplies, monitors equipment functionality, and reports malfunctions promptly.
• Participates in continuing education to stay current with advances in cath lab technology and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab or Interventional Radiology setting (preferred).
• Experience assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures required.
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License or equivalent required.
• ARRT (Radiography) certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology.
• Must be proficient with hospital information systems and electronic medical records.
