Registered Nurse - Cardiac/Telemetry PCU

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour shifts, Day shift from 7 AM to 7 PM, with every other weekend required.

The Cardiac/Telemetry Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides care for patients with moderate to high acuity. Registered Nurses (RNs) will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in alignment with the patient-centered care model.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-acuity nursing care to cardiac patients, including those post-surgery and experiencing respiratory failure.
• Manage and titrate intravenous medications, ensuring proper administration of drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond to any cardiac monitoring alerts as necessary.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in high-acuity cardiac care, specifically in a telemonitoring environment.
• Experience with titration of IV medications preferred.
