A confidential company is seeking an experienced  Employee Relations Representative to support a positive, productive, and compliant workplace. This position will manage employee relations matters, conduct workplace investigations, interpret and apply company policies, and provide guidance to employees and leaders.  Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for this role.

1. Job Summary

The Employee Relations Representative is responsible for managing employee relations matters, including employee complaints, workplace conflicts, performance concerns, attendance issues, policy violations, and disciplinary actions. This position conducts timely and objective workplace investigations, maintains appropriate documentation, and partners with management and HR leadership to develop fair and consistent resolutions.

The ideal candidate has strong employee relations and investigation experience, working knowledge of employment law, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders in both  English and Spanish . This role requires discretion, sound judgment, strong documentation skills, and the ability to independently manage sensitive employee matters.

2. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution

• Manage and respond to employee relations matters, including employee complaints, workplace conflicts, performance concerns, attendance issues, and policy violations.
• Partner with managers and HR leadership to develop appropriate resolutions and corrective actions based on company policies, facts, and applicable employment laws.
• Assist with employee termination processes and ensure appropriate documentation and approvals are completed.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
• Communicate effectively with English- and Spanish-speaking employees regarding workplace concerns and employee relations matters.

Workplace Investigations

• Conduct timely, thorough, and objective workplace investigations.
• Conduct employee and witness interviews in both English and Spanish as needed.
• Review documentation, perform fact-finding, and evaluate information related to workplace concerns.
• Prepare investigation summaries, findings, and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential investigation records, interview notes, corrective actions, and case-tracking documentation.

Manager Coaching & Consultation

• Provide guidance to managers regarding performance management, disciplinary actions, employee conduct, attendance, workplace behavior, and policy interpretation.
• Coach and consult with leaders to improve employee engagement, communication, accountability, and workplace effectiveness.
• Support managers in addressing employee concerns consistently and in accordance with company policies.

Employment Law & Compliance

• Ensure employee relations practices are applied consistently and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Support the development, interpretation, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Partner with HR, Legal, Safety, Payroll, and other departments as appropriate to address complex employee relations matters.
• Maintain appropriate documentation to support compliance requirements and employment decisions.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain accurate Employee Relations case records and tracking.
• Identify recurring employee relations trends and workplace concerns.
• Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, training, and workplace practices.
• Support HR initiatives focused on employee engagement and workplace effectiveness.

3. Qualifications

Required

• Bilingual in English and Spanish , with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and management in both languages.
• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or a related HR function.
• Experience conducting  workplace investigations , including employee interviews, fact-finding, documentation review, and investigation summaries.
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive employee matters.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interviewing, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple employee relations cases and competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in  Human Resources or a related field .
• Experience coaching and consulting with managers on employee relations and performance matters.
• Experience supporting employee termination and corrective action processes.
• Experience identifying and analyzing employee relations trends.
• Experience partnering with HR, Legal, Safety, Payroll, and other departments on complex employee matters.

4. Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
• Frequent computer use and review of employee and HR documentation.
• Ability to participate in employee interviews, meetings, and discussions for extended periods.
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workplace.
