Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, utilizing diagnostic tools and methodologies to understand their concerns.

• Formulate individualized treatment plans that align with clients' needs and utilize evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, adapting your approach based on the unique goals and challenges presented by each client.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services for clients facing acute emotional distress, ensuring safety and stabilization during high-stress situations.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including detailed treatment plans and progress updates, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health topics, treatment options, and available community resources, promoting proactive engagement in their care.

• Continuously procure professional development through training and workshops to enhance skills relevant to mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more complex mental health disorders. You will tailor treatments to accommodate clients from varying backgrounds, reflecting the diverse community we serve in New Paltz and surrounding areas. Your role will significantly contribute to enhancing the mental health landscape for underserved populations.

Qualifications\n

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist: LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related discipline is required.

• Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with an ability to devise clear and effective treatment plans.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
