Job Title: Registered Nurse – Adult Care
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks (With a strong possibility of extension)
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 Hours Per Week

Pay Rate: $3,100/week to $3,700/week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Adult Care for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to medical-surgical patients.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Perform wound care, infection control procedures, and IV therapy.

• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.

• Assist with post-operative patient care and recovery.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system.

• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatments, procedures, and discharge planning.

• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and patient safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

• Active New York State RN License.

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification.

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical experience.

• Experience must be within the last year.

• Physical Assessment skills.

• Medication Administration experience.

• Wound Care & Infection Control experience.

• IV Therapy experience.

• Post-Operative Care experience.

• Patient Education experience.

• Telemetry Monitoring experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• AHA ACLS Certification.

• Experience in a large acute care hospital setting.

• EPIC EMR experience.
