Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatric ICU (PICU)
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 14 Weeks

Pay Rate: $81 - $100/hour

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM | 5 Days Per Week | 37.5 Hours Per Week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Pediatric ICU (PICU) for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients.

• Monitor and manage vital signs, ventilators, and life-support systems.

• Respond to rapid deterioration and pediatric emergencies.

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and sedation protocols.

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures.

• Assist with procedures and critical interventions in the PICU setting.

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary ICU teams.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EMR systems.

• Support families with education and emotional guidance during critical care situations.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse License.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) or higher from an accredited program.

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child Health experience.

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience.

• Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience.

• AHA BLS Certification.

• AHA PALS Certification.

• Strong pediatric critical care clinical judgment.

• Ability to perform effectively in high-stress ICU environments.
