Payroll Specialist

JOB TITLE: Payroll Specialist
LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite)
PAY RANGE: $67 - $77/hr.
DURATION: 6 Months


TOP 3 SKILLS:

• 8-10 years of payroll processing experience with strong knowledge of payroll administration and related compliances
• Workday Payroll experience required, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and PivotTables
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and communication skills for handling employee payroll inquiries and records

Job Description:
This position is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for the company's operations and for assisting in month-end close activities, under the guidance of the Senior Payroll Manager.



Responsibilities:

• End-to-end payroll processing from data entries, timecard validations, to check distributions
• Point of contact for employees' payroll questions and concerns
• ssistance with maintaining employee/payment records, timekeeping records, etc.
• Partnership with People, Benefits, Finance, and other departments, as appropriate
• Year-end communication and reconciliations
• Responding to government inquiries including wage verification, garnishment orders, etc.
• Benefit audits and coordination with People/Benefits and 3rd party vendors
• Leave of Absence Payment Calculation and entries
• Other payroll-related tasks upon request

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 8 to 10 years of payroll processing experience
  or H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent with 12 to 14 years of payroll processing experience
• Knowledge of payroll administration and related compliances
• ttention to detail and diligence are a must
• Understanding the importance of confidentiality
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Word; VLOOKUP and PivotTables are strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:

• Workday Payroll experience is required
• ccounting or HR background is a plus
