Account Executive - Screening (Syracuse South)

Key Responsibilities Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales goals through effective prospecting, relationship-building, and execution of national sales strategies. Target and Engage Healthcare Providers: Build strong relationships with primary care providers and secure their commitment to adopt the Shield colorectal cancer (CRC) blood test. Challenger Selling: Engage providers to understand their needs and demonstrate how Guardant Health’s offerings improve patient outcomes and streamline practice workflow. Educate and Support Providers: Provide in‑depth product knowledge and training to primary care practices, ensuring stakeholder support beyond the provider and smooth integration of Shield into their workflow. Collaborate & Strategize: Work closely with clinical, marketing, and product teams; identify new business opportunities; collaborate with regional and local laboratories; plan and execute product launches. Market Insights & Analysis: Monitor competitive landscape, analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback; report insights to leadership. Customer Service & Operations: Deliver high‑touch customer service, resolve issues proactively, and maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 4 years of customer‑facing sales experience in the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales) or 2 years of sales experience plus direct clinical experience as a registered nurse or physician assistant; proven track record of success. Preferred: Experience with diagnostic products, particularly blood‑based testing or cancer screening, sold directly to primary care providers; familiarity with the primary‑care landscape in the assigned territory. Sales Expertise: Demonstrated ability to engage in selling conversations, overcome objections, and align client needs with product offerings. Preferred: Proven experience in planning and executing product launches in the healthcare or diagnostic space. Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of the healthcare provider landscape and quick learning of technical product knowledge. Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication; ability to present complex information in an accessible manner. CRM Proficiency: Experience with Salesforce, Veeva, or similar platforms for tracking customer interactions and sales progress. Customer Service Excellence: Superior negotiation, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills. Preferred: High‑touch customer service and relationship‑building skills focused on long‑term partnership and success. Coachable / Growth Mindset: Open to feedback, eager to learn, and continuously develops professionally and personally. Personal Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Travel flexibility: daily travel within the assigned territory and occasional national travel for sales meetings. Hybrid work model: onsite work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for U.S. employees within 50 miles of a Guardant facility; remote work on other days. Physical demands: ability to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment; exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard materials in laboratory environments; sit for extended periods of time.
