Accounting Manager: Lead Close, Controls & ERP Optimization

The Role We're hiring an Accounting Manager to own the day-to-day operations of our accounting function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead a small team responsible for the general ledger, month-end close, AP, and AR. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll be in the details with your team while also driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and helping the CFO produce reliable, timely financial information for the leadership team and board. What You'll Do Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals; ensure the books are accurate and GAAP-compliant Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for the CFO Lead the year-end audit: prep schedules, manage the auditor relationship day-to-day, and resolve open items Strengthen internal controls and document key accounting policies and procedures Lead system and process improvements — ERP optimization, close acceleration, automation Support ad hoc projects for the CFO — banking, lender reporting, M&A diligence, system implementations What We're Looking For Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Active CPA 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Excellent attention to detail and a track record of meeting deadlines This is an in-person job in Salisbury, NC Preferred: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP Experience owning a full-cycle month-end close Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm), followed by industry Hands-on experience with a mid-market ERP (NetSuite preferred) Experience working with external auditors on a full annual audit Experience scaling accounting operations in a growing company Why Join Us Direct collaboration with the executive team Real ownership- we are looking for someone that will actively grow in this role and make our business better Compensation range: $115,000–$140,000 base + bonus, depending on experience We are a rapidly growing business looking for someone capable of growing with us #J-18808-Ljbffr Powerhouse Recycling
