Junior Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks to support our financial operations. This role requires high accuracy, efficiency, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Job Location Midtown Manhattan near the Empire State Building. Please note that this position must work in the office. Remote work is not available. Hours Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Responsibilities Assist with daily accounting tasks including transaction processing, reconciliations, and maintaining financial records. Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and other documents. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions. Provide administrative support to the accounting department, such as filing, data entry, and handling correspondence. Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required. Requirements Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred). 1-2 years of experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role. A working understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. Excellent math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
