Jr. Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain hands-on exposure to transactional accounting, reconciliations, and the month-end close process while working alongside an experienced finance team.
Key Responsibilities- Support routine AP and AR functions, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and account follow-up.
- Review invoices, receipts, and related documentation to confirm accuracy and proper approval.
- Record financial activity into the organization's accounting system and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Perform basic bank, vendor, and account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with monthly close activities, including account reviews, supporting schedules, and journal entry preparation.
- Maintain organized accounting files, financial documentation, and spreadsheets.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payment timing, and account information.
- Provide general support to the accounting team and assist with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or currently pursuing a degree.
- 0-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance-related experience.
- Basic knowledge of accounting concepts and financial recordkeeping.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Exposure to QuickBooks or another accounting/ERP system is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Well-organized with the ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately.
