About the Position

The patient ratio is typically 1:2. Charting is done using an electronic health record system. Candidates with experience in community hospitals or LTAC preferred. Experience in Trauma Level I or Level II facilities preferred. Responsibilities include managing and administering medication, performing procedures, and monitoring patients. Skills in care of ventilated patients, arterial line management, and central line care are essential. Experience with cardiac surgery patients and post-neurosurgery management is valuable. Candidates should be proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing dysrhythmias. Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams is required. The unit supports various patient diagnoses and provides a range of special procedures. Familiarity with CRRT and ECMO technology is advantageous. Regular weekend coverage is required as per the scheduling needs. Overall, the role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care in a critical environment.
