Head of Commercial Operations & Strategic Initiatives, Rare Disease

Ipsen seeks a Head of Commercial Operations & Strategic Initiatives for its Rare Disease Business Unit in Cambridge. This senior leadership role translates franchise strategy into integrated operating plans, manages RDBU governance and business performance, and leads cross-functional execution to advance portfolio growth and long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as strategic advisor and Chief of Staff to SVP, U.S. Rare Disease, shaping business agenda and driving leadership effectiveness
- Design and lead RDBU governance and management operating system, including leadership forums and decision processes
- Own integrated RDBU planning process aligning strategic, brand, operational, workforce, and financial plans
- Build and lead Commercial Operations team, establishing accountabilities and developing high-performing talent
- Drive performance monitoring, KPI frameworks, and business insights to enable timely executive decision-making
Requirements
- 12+ years related experience with Bachelor's degree, or 8+ years with Master's degree
- Senior advisory experience to business-unit or enterprise leadership
- Demonstrated success leading through influence in complex matrixed organizations
- Proven track record delivering integrated business plans and strategic initiatives
- Experience building and developing high-performing teams and leading organizational change
- Strong commercial operations and business analytics expertise
- Strategic planning and governance process design experience
