MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc
Speech Language Therapist - SLP
Imagine a career where every word matters and transforms lives. As a Speech Language Therapist in Augusta, Georgia, your influence reaches beyond treating communication and swallowing disorders. You will guide individuals towards discovering their voice, nurturing connections, and rebuilding confidence, whether working with exuberant toddlers navigating their first sentences or guiding seniors toward independence.
This position provides a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse clientele across various age groups, merging outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in pediatric speech development, rehabilitating adult neurological conditions, or enhancing geriatric cognitive communication, this role offers both fulfillment and adaptability.
Your role includes:
- Conducting evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations using standardized assessments and observing techniques.
- Creating individualized treatment plans focusing on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
- Delivering personalized speech therapy sessions aimed at communication, language development, fluency, vocal training, and swallowing.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families, to develop seamless care strategies.
- Educating patients and their families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Providing occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain continuity in care during all treatment phases.
- Ensuring meticulous and prompt documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Keeping up to date with advancements in the field through continuous education and interaction with peers.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.
Licensure and Certifications:
- State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Essential skills:
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all age groups with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Flexibility in adapting therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation practices.
What we offer:
- Attractive compensation reflective of experience.
- Flexible scheduling accommodating work-life balance and diverse patient needs.
- Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
- Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
- Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Support for continuing education and professional growth.
- A nurturing and collaborative atmosphere emphasizing high-quality care and lifelong learning.
In this pivotal role, you will do more than provide speech therapy — you will become an integral part of a community-centered mission to help restore voices, foster communication, and create beautiful moments through the fundamental human gestures of interaction and understanding.
Embrace collaboration within a team that treats each other as family, functioning in a culture of partnership instead of competition. Every patient you meet is a story waiting to be told, and we trust you to help direct how that narrative unfolds.

We're in search of a Speech Language Therapist motivated not just by results but by heartfelt connection. You envision the future of a quiet child brimming with self-expression or hear the desire for communication in the slurred speech of a stroke survivor.

Your unique passion can make an impact here, and we are excited to welcome you to this group of dedicated professionals.
If you perceive speech as more than just sounds and view therapy as an opportunity for connection — if you understand the importance of building trust before striving for goals, and the joyful moments that bubble up from both laughter and conversation — this opportunity could be the perfect chapter in your professional narrative.
Join us in a community that cherishes communication, fosters connections, and recognizes the courage it requires to start anew. Apply now, and bring your voice to our compassionate team — together, let's help others find their voices, too.
