Work Environment

This position is based in a modern rehabilitation facility that prioritizes patient-centered care in a collaborative environment. The clinic features well-equipped therapy rooms and rehabilitation spaces designed to promote optimal healing and recovery. Working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will become part of a dynamic team that thrives on shared knowledge and mutual support, creating a productive atmosphere for both patients and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and re-evaluations of patients, including assessments of mobility, strength, and functional capabilities, adhering to state and facility standards.
• Formulate personalized Plan of Treatment based on patient evaluations, collaboratively involving the patients and their families in goal-setting processes that are realistic and attainable.
• Implement treatment plans utilizing a diverse range of physical therapy techniques and modalities tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans dynamically to reflect changes in patient conditions and responses to therapy.
• Participate in case discussions with other healthcare professionals to enhance collaborative patient care and anticipate interdisciplinary needs.
• Stay current with professional practices by attending workshops and engaging with the latest clinical literature, ensuring best practices in patient care.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean therapeutic environment, helping other staff as necessary to foster an efficient rehabilitation experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients of various ages, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving patients' quality of life and functional abilities through effective rehabilitation strategies. The diversity of the patient population allows for continuous learning and adaptation of therapies to suit individual recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) are preferred.
• An active Physical Therapy license for the state of Virginia.
• A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with AED.
• A demonstrated commitment to patient care and a compassionate approach to treatment.
• Strong understanding of the use and maintenance of rehabilitation equipment and familiarity with current best practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a physical therapy role is required, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic conditions. Candidates with experience in patient evaluations and the development of personalized treatment strategies will find this role particularly rewarding.
