Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Overview An Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for accurate day-to-day processing of accounts payable invoices and ensuring all due dates are met. The position works directly with the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Accounts Payable Manager. This is a hybrid role (office 3 days a week) at our St. Paul office. Employment Type Full time, Regular Time Responsibilities Process and audit invoices ensuring accuracy and compliance with Accounts Payable guidelines. Verify spend categories, cost centers, supplier details, and payment amounts match supplier invoices. Ensure accurate supplier invoice date, invoice number, and that the correct supplier is paid with current address. Perform 3‑Way PO matching for product‑based supplier invoices (compare supplier invoice, inventory receipt, and purchase order). Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions, monitor open payables, and utilize credit memos promptly. Research supplier statements and respond professionally and timely to all Supplier/Vendor inquiries regarding invoice and payment status. Assist with month‑end close processes and support Johnson Brothers locations with inquiries regarding proper Accounts Payable processes and outside inquiries. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Experience working in Workday software is preferred. Effective and efficient communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Ability to multitask and work daily within multiple accounting programs. Computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet applications. Compensation The expected pay range is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour. Placement within the range depends on qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable), and market data.
