Thriving Journey Therapy, PLLC is on the lookout for an experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to become an integral part of our dedicated team in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office, where a collaborative team environment thrives. As you engage directly with patients from diverse backgrounds, you will benefit from a supportive community and advanced resources. Your working hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve a wide range of responsibilities crucial for effective patient care. Key duties include:

• Directing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and enhancing functional abilities according to established treatment protocols.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' functional levels through standardized muscle, nerve, and joint assessments, alongside functional ability tests.
• Implementing manual therapy techniques and guiding clients through therapeutic exercises, offering motivation and support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Administering adjunct treatments including traction, massage, and application of physical agents, ensuring a comprehensive therapeutic approach.
• Evaluating, fitting, and modifying prosthetic and orthotic devices based on patient needs, alongside collaborating with physicians for optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our clients range from active adults to seniors, each requiring tailored treatment plans to support their individual goals and needs. Through your expertise, you will enhance their functional capabilities and provide guidance towards achieving their personal rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of two years of practical experience in orthopedic, geriatric, or outpatient settings.
• Proven proficiency in orthopedic assessment methods, treatment modalities, and patient care planning.
• Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills for delivering high-quality care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to streamline documentation and facilitate patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in advanced orthopedic rehabilitation techniques, multidisciplinary team collaboration, and familiarity with outcome measurement tools will be considered advantageous for applicants. Any additional certifications related to orthopedic physical therapy can significantly strengthen your candidacy.
