Mid-Level Associate Attorney (Litigation or Corporate Law)

MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY Job Description YOU ARE: A stellar attorney with at least 4-6 full years’ experience in commercial litigation or corporate contracts and transactions. Licensed to practice law in New York. Conscientious, thorough and you take the accuracy of your work seriously. Proactive, driven and good under pressure. You’re even a little competitive. Eager to learn and improve on the job, so you are receptive to feedback. Polished, poised, practical, energetic and you have a strong work ethic. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WOULD: Report to the Head of the Litigation Department or the Head of the Corporate Department. Delegate tasks and ensure deadlines are met. Work with and manage junior team members reporting to you. Have varied activities including multiple, simultaneous projects that offer learning opportunities. Use your expertise-based problem-solving skills to offer innovative solutions. Be required to have a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy. You believe that quality should never be compromised. Draft, review and revise contracts or agreements and deliver practical, plain English advice. Draft, review, and revise demand letters, case pleadings, and motion papers in commercial litigation matters. Assist with all substantive aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, and preparing for depositions. Support business transactions by preparing ancillary agreements and reviewing key deal terms to help close matters efficiently and cleanly. Lead by example: with your work ethic, your drive for success, and positive attitude. Be involved in client development, marketing and the growth of the firm.
