Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our outpatient facility in Leesburg, VA, where you will work in a collaborative and supportive setting. You will have the flexibility to select your working hours, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Our general operating hours are Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as exercise therapy, manual therapy, and modalities, to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Continuously monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure therapeutic goals are met.
• Document all treatment sessions meticulously to keep accurate patient records, detailing each patient's treatment effectiveness and progress over time.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and physicians, to provide comprehensive care and maximize patient outcomes.
• Instruct patients, their families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics for continued rehabilitation beyond therapy sessions.
• Stay current with the latest in physical therapy practices by attending workshops, participating in professional development opportunities, and engaging in continuous education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary clientele includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, chronic pain conditions, sports injuries, and mobility limitations due to various medical conditions. You will be instrumental in working alongside these patients to foster resilience, recovery, and independence in a compassionate and supportive manner.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, along with a valid state license to practice physical therapy.
• A minimum of two years of direct experience in orthopedic physical therapy is necessary, demonstrating skill in assessing and treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey treatment goals and processes clearly.
• Proficiency in computer systems and electronic health records for maintaining thorough documentation and patient history.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to the dynamic needs of patients and team schedules.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings will be viewed favorably.
• Knowledge of current therapeutic modalities and techniques specific to orthopedic recovery.

Compensation and Benefits
