Plant Accountant

PURPOSE: The Plant Accountant performs daily accounting and reporting functions for manufacturing plants across MNP’s portfolio of companies. This position reports to the Manufacturing Controller. RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilizing generally accepted accounting practices, responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Prepare reports daily, weekly and monthly which may include but not be limited to production cost, inventory, spending, and other metrics Analyze production cost, inventory and labor variances throughout the month Conduct month-end closing by calculating accruals, booking journal entries, reclasses and other adjustments Review inventory balances and inventory monitoring programs Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual budget #J-18808-Ljbffr
