Nurse Practitioner, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Float Provider

Job Overview Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Floating Position). This dynamic floating position within the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry provides comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents across inpatient units, residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs, and emergency department coverage as needed. Primary Location College Hill Campus Schedule Full time, 0.8 FTE (32 weekly hours) 8‑hour shifts, rotating On call until 6:00 pm when working inpatient Every other weekend required Holidays required Job Responsibilities Patient Care – Perform history and physical exams, assess and diagnose illnesses, formulate treatment plans, order and monitor therapeutic interventions, provide clinical consultation, and prescribe medications in accordance with Federal and State law and CCHMC policy. Outcomes Identification and Planning – Develop measurable goals, prioritize and modify individualized plans of care, incorporate evidence‑based strategies, and maintain documentation of outcomes and progress. Professional Practice – Engage in quality improvement, lifelong learning, mentorship, leadership on committees, and advocacy for patient/family needs. Care Management – Promote self‑management and family‑centered care, delegate appropriately, provide consultation on care plans, and communicate results and recommendations with patients and families. Evaluation – Systematically assess outcomes, evaluate diagnosis accuracy and intervention effectiveness, involve patients/families and healthcare providers, and recommend process or structural changes as needed. Scope of Practice Scope for subspecialty role will not exceed the scope of the collaborating or supervising MD. Qualifications Master's degree in a related field (Doctor of Nursing Practice degree accepted) Certification – PMHNP Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry (preferred) Experience as an APP in subspecialty (preferred) Licensure and certification in accordance with CCHMC Delineation of Privileges Multi‑state licensure in addition to Ohio licensure may be required based on subspecialty Compensation Annualized pay range: $120,744.00 – $146,369.60 (may vary based on FTE status) Weekly hours: 32 Cincinnati Children’s is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an environment of dignity and respect for all our employees, patients, and families.
