Job Title: Laser Operator Job Description

The Laser Operator will be responsible for the operation and setup of Amada 6k & 9k fiber lasers to cut metal parts for various companies across the United States. The role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and utilizing quality tools to ensure the production of high-quality parts before they are dispatched to other departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up Amada 6k & 9k fiber lasers for metal cutting.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders accurately.
• Utilize quality tools to inspect and ensure quality of metal parts.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.

Essential Skills

• 2-4 years of experience in setting up and operating a CNC Laser.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders effectively.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, press brakes, and calipers.
• Experience with inspection processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in plasma cutting or waterjet is a plus.
• Programming skills are advantageous.

Work Environment

Work the first shift from 5:50 AM to 2:00 PM in a clean and friendly environment. Note that it can be loud around the turret punch press.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Germantown, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
