Operations/Production Manager (Specialist Vehicles)

Alexander James Recruiting are currently representing a well-established, expanding specialist vehicle manufacturing company, that is looking to bring on an Operations Manager to oversee the production of their products from their head office in the West Midlands. Responsibilities

• Managing the operations/production team from the company’s factory in the West Midlands
• Ensuring the optimal use of resources to deliver high-quality vehicles on time and within budget
• Driving the efficiency of operations and ensuring that continuous improvement is a part of the team’s culture
• Overseeing production, quality, planning, stock control and facilities management within the operations department
• Setting annual budgets and being responsible for the overall P & L for the operations department
• Writing monthly reports and carrying out all related and necessary administrative tasks

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with experience of working in a senior operations management position within a specialist vehicle manufacturing environment. This experience can come from a number of industries such as Commercial Vehicles, Material Handling, Construction Equipment or similar. It is also an expectation that you can demonstrate previous success within a similar position and have strong management skills. The role will require you to be both highly analytical and determined to hit KPI’s. In terms of location, you will need to be based within commutable distance of the company’s head office in the West Midlands as the role will be entirely site-based.
