Shift Coordinator

Overview Shift: 3rd Shift - Inserting Department Location: Wallace Ave, St. Charles, IL Responsibilities Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met. Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees. Direct employees to the appropriate manager regarding policy questions. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, policies and procedures. Report any problems, potential problems, hazardous situations to management. Inspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specifications. Review and approve machine set ups, production samples, and/or shipments as necessary. Identify and report opportunities for continual improvement. Attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate production activities when necessary. Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and/or guests to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood. Ensure the “Quality Policy and Objectives” are understood and achieved. May provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy. May update and maintain shift schedules in the time and attendance system, as well as enter attendance transactions. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job Proficient knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as MS Office, MAC word processing, spreadsheets, or other programs specific to the job Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and rarely above 50 pounds Ability to perform basic math (rates, ratios, percentages) Ability to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers to resolve issues Additional Information Pay range for this role at the noted location is $26.26 to $34 per hour. Actual rate of pay may vary based upon education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location.
