Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
• Previous experience working in a school, ideally at the middle school level
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal writing
• Ability to assess, develop, and implement appropriate interventions for a diverse student population
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals
• Organizational skills for maintaining accurate student records

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to middle school students as required by their IEPs
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized educational planning
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services in various classroom and school settings
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward goals, updating plans as needed
• Educate staff on strategies, tools, and adaptive equipment that facilitate student success in the school setting
