Make a significant impact on students' lives as a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist serving a local school community near Westland, MI. Work on-site in a collaborative environment where your passion for helping children and advancing your clinical expertise will be valued and supported.
This is an excellent opportunity for SLPs with a variety of backgrounds, including those with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), those specializing in pediatric therapy, and Clinical Fellows (CFY) beginning their careers. Bring your enthusiasm for supporting students’ communication, social, and academic growth to an engaging educational setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain state SLP licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but not required; Clinical Fellows (CFY) welcome to apply
- Experience in pediatrics and/or school-based practice desired
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Dedication to providing evidence-based, culturally responsive services
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language assessment, intervention, and therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and document student progress
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other school professionals
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student planning processes
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all school and state requirements
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
