Payroll Specialist

Payroll SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's team in North Houston. This role is responsible for supporting full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll for employees, and maintaining compliance with applicable payroll regulations. The ideal candidate has strong experience with ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN), excellent attention to detail, and experience processing Canadian payroll, which is highly preferred. A bachelor's degree is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Processing & AdministrationProcess full-cycle payroll accurately and in accordance with established deadlinesReview and verify employee timekeeping, earnings, deductions, and payroll adjustmentsEnsure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and other compensationProcess new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other employee status updatesMaintain accurate payroll records and documentationADP Workforce Now & Systems ManagementUtilize ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN) to process payroll and maintain employee payroll informationReview payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before payroll finalizationGenerate payroll reports and reconcile payroll information as neededAssist with troubleshooting payroll system issues and identifying process improvementsCanadian Payroll & ComplianceSupport Canadian payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable federal and provincial payroll requirements, as applicableMaintain knowledge of Canadian payroll taxes, statutory deductions, and required withholdingsReview payroll calculations and deductions to ensure accuracyAssist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processesStay informed of relevant payroll regulations and compliance requirementsReconciliation & ReportingReconcile payroll registers and verify payroll totals before processingResearch and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiriesAssist with payroll tax reporting, audits, and year-end activitiesMaintain organized payroll documentation and support internal reporting requirementsCollaborate with HR, Accounting, and other departments to ensure accurate payroll administrationQualificationsPrevious experience in full-cycle payroll processing requiredADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN) experience requiredCanadian payroll experience highly preferredKnowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, reconciliations, and compliance requirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferredStrong Excel skills and proficiency with payroll reportingHigh attention to detail and strong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee informationExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environmentHow to ApplyIf you are an experienced Payroll Specialist with ADP Workforce Now experience and a strong background in payroll processing, we encourage you to apply for this direct-hire opportunity in North Houston!Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
