Building SecretaryGeneral Description of Position: The Building Secretary plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of the school. This position requires a blend of technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail.Qualifications:High School diplomaProficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office softwarePleasant personality and good interpersonal skillsExcellent oral, written, and telephone communication skillsWorking knowledge of basic office procedures and common office equipmentAbility to quickly learn new software productsReports To: Building Principal/Assistant PrincipalPerformance Responsibilities:Performs data entry and data processingTracks and balances student activity accountsMonitors purchase orders and manages payment approvalsDeposits money collected dailyMaintains demographic data and coordinates mailingsUpdates the building websiteServes as receptionistMaintains building files and recordsMakes parental contacts and other correspondenceAssists with Health Services and substitute teacher arrangementsSubmits records to the Administration OfficeSorts and distributes incoming mailAssists in scheduling Parent/Teacher Conference appointmentsAssists in student registrationMaintains teacher attendance registersCollects fees and sends letters to parentsSupervises students in the office areaDemonstrates cooperation and good public relationsAttends work regularly and maintains confidentialityTerms of Employment: Nine month contract and as needed in the summerEvaluation: Performance will be evaluated annuallyCompensation: Based on the Plano CUSD 88 Collective Bargaining AgreementDistrict Mission Statement: The Mission of Plano School District is to empower and inspire our diverse student body to achieve academic excellence, experience personal growth, and make positive contributions to society.District Vision Statement: Students will think critically, persevere, and contribute productively to society.
