Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while also maintaining the opportunity to connect with clients in our outpatient office. Our team operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ensuring a balanced work schedule that promotes both professional and personal well-being. As part of our innovative practice model, you will engage with clients through teletherapy and in-person sessions, adopting the most effective approach for each clinical situation.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ symptoms, particularly focusing on the intensity and impact of mood disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals and therapeutic needs.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mood disorders, and provide guidance on available treatment options and self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize their outcomes.

• Engage in integrated care practices by collaborating with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure holistic support for clients.

• Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices within the realm of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Advocate for clients’ rights and needs while working actively to reduce mental health stigma in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, you will support vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, fostering resilience and facilitating recovery in challenging circumstances. Your compassionate approach will empower clients to navigate their emotional struggles and foster lasting change.

Qualifications\n

• Possess an active and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
