Property Manager

A flagship affordable housing community needs a Property Manager who knows how to take ownership, raise standards, and drive results. This on-site role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a large tax-credit residential property, including leasing, occupancy, collections, resident relations, compliance, property inspections, and coordination with maintenance and support staff. The Property Manager will play a hands-on role in strengthening property performance while ensuring residents receive consistent, professional service. The ideal candidate brings at least five years of hands-on tax-credit affordable housing experience, strong Yardi knowledge, and the confidence to step into a challenging property environment and make an immediate impact. This person must be an effective leasing professional, a steady problem-solver, and a strong communicator who can balance high operational standards with respectful resident relationships. Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 / Year, DOE Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of a large tax-credit affordable housing community Lead brief morning team meetings to align onsite staff on priorities, resident needs, and property activity Conduct regular property walks to identify maintenance, cleanliness, landscaping, and operational issues and ensure timely follow-through Drive leasing activity and occupancy through consistent prospect follow-up, resident service, and strong closing practices Manage rent collections and delinquency while maintaining professional, respectful resident relationships Oversee tax-credit compliance documentation, forms, and site-level requirements Coordinate closely with maintenance, housekeeping, and other onsite team members to keep the property operating at a high standard Manage resident appointments, inquiries, and concerns while effectively de-escalating difficult situations Maintain strong communication, documentation, and follow-through across all areas of property operations Requirements 5+ years of hands-on tax-credit affordable housing experience Strong understanding of tax-credit compliance, documentation, forms, and site-level requirements Previous experience with Yardi required Strong leasing skills with the ability to improve occupancy and execute consistently throughout the leasing process Proven ability to handle challenging resident situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and effective de-escalation skills Stable professional background demonstrating meaningful tenure and commitment Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of Excel Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on, high-accountability environment Experience supporting a property turnaround, lease-up, or occupancy improvement initiative is strongly preferred Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer contributions toward employee and dependent healthcare coverage Retirement plan with employer match Paid vacation with additional time based on tenure Generous paid holidays and additional paid days off #J-18808-Ljbffr Boutique Recruiting
