Residential Aide - Transitional Housing

A housing services organization is seeking a Residential Aide in Manhattan, New York to support a transitional housing setting and help maintain a safe, stable environment for residents and visitors. This role involves monitoring the premises, documenting activity, and assisting with daily operations in a client-facing residential program. About the Opportunity: Shift: Day shift Schedule: Monday through Friday Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with 2 days from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Setting: Transitional housing Responsibilities: Monitor the area and provide support and resources to residents and visitors Maintain a welcoming, safe, and stable environment throughout the site Complete hourly rounds inside and outside the facility to support safety and security Document incidents, crisis interventions, attendance, shift activity, visitors, and progress notes Greet individuals entering the site, screen residents, visitors, and packages, and direct people as needed Qualifications: 2 years of related experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite High School Diploma or GED Desired Skills: Associate's degree Experience supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health concerns, or substance use issues CPR and First Aid certifications NARCAN and crisis prevention experience Familiarity with harm reduction principles Experience with de-escalation and incident response Tandym Group
