TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years, including 1 year of direct MedSurg experience License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: BCLS, NIHSS, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: Med/Surg experience Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit may result in a cancellation and DNR. Must have at least 2 successful travel contracts prior to applying. Local candidates are accepted. IV start and Telemetry skills are required. Understanding of dysrhythmias and their management is essential. Experience with Med/Surg neuro is necessary. Certification in BCLS is required, while ACLS is preferred but not mandatory. Unit ratios are 1:6. Contracts can be accepted for 13-26 weeks. Travelers must work every other weekend. Floating to other areas may be required, including COVID care units. If a traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, they must make up that shift based on unit needs. The unit primarily cares for stroke patients but also manages various neuro diagnoses. There is a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit that requires training for specific nurses. The unit uses PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems. Orientation is included for new hires to ensure preparedness. Travelers must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. Completion of required training modules is necessary before the contract start date.
