Compensation will be discussed with Human Resources based on the candidate's qualifications.What You'll DoIn this leadership role, you will provide oversight of:Patient service staff and daily workflowPatient service and external customer satisfactionSpecimen collection and processing operationsScheduling and staffing needsInventory management and supply availabilityDepartment processes that support efficient, high-quality patient careTeam performance, communication, and adherence to established proceduresYou will serve as an important connection between the patient service team and the broader Laboratory department, helping ensure that patients receive professional, compassionate service and that laboratory operations run smoothly.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for a dependable, organized professional who combines strong phlebotomy experience with excellent communication and leadership skills.EducationRequired:High school diploma or equivalentPreferred:Associate degree in Applied Sciences or a related fieldCertificationsRequired:Successful completion of an accredited phlebotomy programCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red CrossPreferred:Certification in venipuncture through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent accrediting agencyExperienceRequired:Minimum of three (3) years of phlebotomy experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the positionPrior scheduling and inventory management experiencePreferred:Two (2) years of experience working in a hospital environmentPrevious supervisory or leadership experienceWhy Join Gateway Regional Medical Center?At Gateway, your leadership helps create an environment where patients feel cared for and employees feel supported.
