Proposals ManagerManage the department that develops proposals. Proposals are often complex, primarily in aerospace and defense, and support Federal Government and commercial opportunities. Responsible for managing material and labor estimators and for analyzing Requests for Quotation (RFQ’s) and providing advice on bid strategy, risk assessment, and price data requirements. Our Facility in Appleton, WI manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense as well as Industrial and Medical Industries.Job SummaryManage the receipt, preparation, and submittal of quotes to the review team for final review; includes cost, technical, and management proposals as requiredIntegrate proposal input from team members, edit and proofread final document for completeness, accuracy and quality; includes review of all labor, material and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) estimates; together with rate structures and budgets for each bidKey member of final bid/quote review team to establish competitive guidelines and recommend strategyCommunicate to customers and internal staff during bid process and follow-up after awardProvide labor and material budgets upon awardAdhere to General Requirements of Team MembersPerform other assignments as requiredRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree Industrial Engineering, Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalentMinimum 5 years’ experience in estimating or related field, Demonstrated project management experience—planning, budget, allocation of resourcesNegotiation and conflict management skills coupled with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and problem-solvingAbility to supervise employees, provide mentoring, and resolve issuesExceptional organization skills are required with emphasis on attention to details Excellent written and verbal skillsFlexible with high energy, able to handle multiple tasks smoothlyVery organized, detail-oriented, with attention to accuracyAbilities listed in the General Requirements of Team MembersPreferred Skills and Experience3 years supervisory experience Experience within electrical or electronic manufacturingAdvanced ERP and Microsoft Office skills (e-mail, Word, Excel), intermediate level Power Point, and Access preferredEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled2222 East Pensar DriveAppleton, Wisconsin, 54911United States
