Responsibilities

• Assess patients across various age groups through standardized evaluations and direct observation.
• Create customized treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing fluency, language, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, families, and caregivers to ensure optimal care.
• Educate patients and families to foster progress in between sessions.
• Occasionally provide inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, maintaining a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation consistent with regulatory standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and collaborate with peers to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within the first month of employment.

• Expertise in evidence-based practices for treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders across all ages.
• Strong verbal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
