Role Description This full-time Outside Sales Representative role is a hybrid position based in Houston, TX, with a mix of on-site client visits and some work-from-home flexibility. The individual in this role identifies and pursues new business opportunities, meets with prospective and existing customers, and conducts in-person and virtual sales presentations for Alarm Masters’ security, access control, and alarm solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include qualifying leads, assessing customer needs, preparing proposals, and following up to close sales. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with clients through regular communication, providing basic product education, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth installation and ongoing service. The Outside Sales Representative is expected to meet or exceed sales targets, maintain accurate records in CRM tools, and represent Alarm Masters professionally in the community. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Sales Presentations skills, including the ability to clearly explain product benefits and tailor solutions to customer needs. Candidates should possess Relationship Building and Customer Service skills to foster trust, provide responsive support, and encourage repeat business. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging customers, collaborating with team members, and preparing sales materials. Candidates should possess New Business Development skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management. Relevant experience in outside sales, preferably in security systems, technology, or related industries. Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with regular travel to customer sites in the Houston, TX area. Ability to use CRM software and basic office productivity tools to manage contacts, opportunities, and reports.
