Lab Assistant, Manufacturing (2nd shift)

The Position The Assistant I, Manufacturing will perform basic laboratory duties involved with maintaining the cleanliness of the company’s chemical laboratories, equipment and maintaining stock levels of inventory. In addition, they will assist production chemists with routine production activities i.e., non-GMP and GMP manufacturing of oligonucleotides. 2nd shift work hours are Monday - Thursday 1pm – 11:30pm and eligible for a 10% shift differential. Responsibilities

• Maintain glassware for the laboratory;
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas;
• Maintain stocks of laboratory supplies and material and maintains appropriate

records;

• Follow safety procedures for chemical handling, as appropriate;
• Follow batch records, SOPS, and work instructions to detail;
• Document all operations in batch records and notebooks;
• Comply with GMP protocols;
• Assist with and support operation of large scale oligonucleotide

manufacturing equipment (i.e. oligonucleotide synthesizer, purification skid, tangential flow filtration system, lyophilizer, ChemGlass reactors, pH/conductivity meters, peristaltic pumps, etc.) Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to pay attention to detail

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a laboratory setting
• Some college or concurrent college course attendance

Wisconsin pay range

$40,000—$45,000 USD
