Material Coordinator

Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Material Coordinator to join a client in Fremont. This is a temp to hire position. Hours are Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.


Job Duties:

• Maintain order and organization of the work area including compacting boxes
• Package goods according to selected carrier specifications and quality standards.
• Pull material for kits, shortages, work orders and/or shippers in accordance with FIFO policy.
• Put away stock from receiving, airfreight, sea freight, material transfer orders and shop.
• Update the system with the location for any material returned to stock.
• Create repair work orders for discrepant material.
• Process material transactions using the ERP system or on the hand held devices.
• Assist in daily cycle counting.
• Maintain warehouse equipment including but not limited to printers, tape dispensers, fork-lift, and compactor.
• Verify all work to eliminate errors.
• Ask for clarification or assistance as needed.
• Interface with internal and external customers.
• Maintain necessary files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Reading, writing and basic math skills
• PC literate with experience in MS Word, Excel and database programs.
• Experience with SAP a plus.
• Electronics manufacturing experience a plus.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• 2+ years experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
