Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing specialized support and instruction to children in grades 3–8 throughout the academic year. This contract role starts August 1 and continues through approximately May 22, offering the opportunity to work five days per week, seven hours per day, at a single school location. You’ll join a welcoming educational team dedicated to fostering growth and success for students with a wide range of abilities.

Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Special Education Certification:
  • Part-time roles require endorsement codes 144 or 145
  • Full-time positions require comprehensive license code 461
• Enthusiasm for working with students with diverse needs, including SLD, autism, and OHI
• Experience supporting either inclusion or extended resource classrooms is helpful but not required—new graduates are warmly encouraged to apply
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Commitment to on-site instruction (this role does not offer virtual capabilities)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction in accordance with IEP goals
• Adapt educational materials and methods to support student achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP compliance
• Provide a positive, inclusive learning environment regardless of students’ abilities
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed
