Full time | Symbiotic Services | United States Posted On 07/15/2026 Job Information Manufacturing Work Experience 1-3 years City Shelby State/Province North Carolina 28150 Job Description Bookkeeper (Manufacturing Experience Preferred) Company: Symbiotic Services (Recruiting on behalf of a confidential manufacturing client) Position Summary Symbiotic Services is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing manufacturing company. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close activities. Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred, particularly with inventory management, inventory reconciliation, or job costing. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy and timeliness are essential. Key Responsibilities Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of daily financial transactions. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations, as needed. Monitor and reconcile inventory balances, investigate discrepancies, and assist with inventory adjustments. Support inventory cycle counts and physical inventories. Assist with job costing, product costing, or work-in-process (WIP) accounting when applicable. Prepare financial reports and provide supporting documentation for management. Maintain organized accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls. Assist external accountants and auditors by preparing requested documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives and other accounting projects as assigned. Qualifications Required Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent bookkeeping experience will also be considered. Required Experience 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and general accounting practices. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Experience using accounting software or ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Preferred Experience Previous bookkeeping experience in a manufacturing environment . Experience with inventory management, inventory reconciliation, or inventory valuation . Knowledge of job costing, product costing, bill of materials (BOMs), or work-in-process (WIP) accounting is highly preferred. Experience supporting manufacturing operations through financial reporting and inventory controls.
